Patrizia, director of the avant-garde Italian furniture makers, is a client of Spanish designer Patricia Urquiola.
The feeling is mutual - Patrizia Moroso and Patricia Urquiola at the The Revolving Room installation at the Moroso showroom during Milan Design Week 2013. I was very late, having had a small accident on the way. But these two women made me welcome in quiet corner behind the huge media party, and we did the interview anyway.
"I designed her house, and we are still friends," said Spanish-born Patricia, who now lives in Milan, where she founded her own design practice in 2001. "People say my designs are feminine," she adds. "By this, they mean poetic, but men can be sensitive, too. However, women are more flexible and adaptable than men, and are able to multi-task – a great advantage for designers."
