Lee Broom, London 2011

Imaginative Londoner, with the neon chair that started his design ball rolling.

Barbara writes:
Lee has a background in theatre (with the Royal Shakespeare company as child/teen actor) and in fashion (Vivienne Westwood, Central St Martin's and more) and it shows. He is so utterly charming in person, unassuming and diffident – I think that is one of the reasons for his success. Which has been meteoric thanks to seductive products that have included lights made from cut glass decanters, followed by a cut-glass bulb.
An intriguing touch was the golden key he sent a couple of years ago to admit those selected into his studio. It worked a charm – but now he's changed the locks.
